Welcome to Community Church Ramsgate in Thanet
Here at CCR we don’t really think church is about buildings.
It’s not about summer fetes or funerals.
We believe Church is about community – a community who love God, each other and love the least, last and the lost.
Who We Are
You’ll always hear us going on about three priorities – Loving God. Loving each other. Loving Ramsgate. We like to call it UP, IN, and OUT.
We believe our church exists for the glory of God; for the joy of the church and; for the sake of the least, last and lost. Through the good news of Jesus, God has welcomed us into a relationship with Himself; Father, Son & Holy Spirit. We are seeking to respond to His loving-kindness by Loving Him (Worship, Trust, Obedience), Loving each other (Family, Community) and Loving our town as he leads us – both in sharing the good news of Jesus and caring for people.
Our church in Thanet started in 2011 with about 12 of us in someone’s living room. We then met in Newington Primary school for many years, before God blessed us with our own building; The Corner in 2017.
CCR is proud to be part of Relational Mission – a growing family of churches who are committed to seeing lives and communities transformed by the grace of God all over the world. This is part of an even larger family of New Frontiers churches.
You’re invited to join us at our Sunday gathering from 10:00am – 12:00pm. You don’t need to dress up; just be yourself. It’s just like a family get-together, really.
However, it is a little different at the moment due to COVID restrictions. Seats are limited and need to be pre-booked so we can adhere to track and trace and arrange a safe seating plan according to social distancing rules. If you get a seat, you will receive an email, if not we will automatically add you on to another week.
Face masks will need to be worn at all times, except if you are exempt from doing so, there will be a band playing and singing, but no singing from the congregation. There will be teas and coffee and a chance to chat to others, but from a safe distance only.
We still pray, open our Bibles and take Communion. We still gather to worship God and learn about Him together.
If you would like to book yourself a seat, you can do so here:
If you prefer to watch our services online from the comfort of your own home, you can do that through our live broadcasts Facebook page, which you can request to join here:
